About Us
Avoncroft Plastics was established in 1993 by Duncan Bell, who has many years’ experience in supplying thermoplastic polyurethane together with his technical expertise, to a wide range of industries in the UK.
We supply the Merquinsa range of TPUs from Merquinsa in Spain. The majority of products can be supplied from stock for immediate delivery in the UK.
Merquinsa is a major producer and supplier to the TPU market globally.
Merquinsa is an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified company and many of their products in the range of TPUs are FDA and CSI (European) approved.
Merquinsa TPU is available in a range of hardnesses from 70 Shore A to 77 Shore D in polyester, polyether and polycaprolactone for injection moulding, extrusion and calendering processes.
There are specialist grades available for different applications in the automotive, general engineering and belting industries, and specifically for seals with high working temperatures and very low compression set characteristics.
We also specialize in aliphatic grades for very demanding applications.

The comprehensive range of products can be used in a wide range of industries i.e:
- Injection Moulding: for automotive, sports and leisure, footwear technical parts, animal ID tags, seals, wheels and consumer products.
- Extrusion: TPUs are specifically designed for uniformity giving excellent characteristics and ease of extrusion for hydraulic and pneumatic hose, tubing and sheathing, barrier films, adhesive films, breather films and timing belts.
- Calendering: for performance fabrics, inflatable items, life jackets and conveyor belts.
- Compounding: for blends with TPEs and engineering plastics. Carriers for colour and additive masterbatches.
